Moogfest is infamous for dropping hints before the lineup and additions are out. This is what they have so far.

It seems like the tweets and facebooks responses kept flooding in before Bonnaroo, but nobody is saying anything about Moog. Either AC has put the smackdown on leaks or we are really barking up the wrong tree. |

Anybody else see the Thomas Dolby newsletter that says he's playing? I haven't, but given the quick follow-up with a Dolby video on the Moogfest FB page, I'm guessing that's as solid as the Squarepusher/Hawtin assumptions! I saw Dolby a few months ago and he was very good. Would love to see a repeat of his 2006 his configuration, where he performed solo, wore a camera on his head, and projected what he was seeing on a large screen behind him. As a musician/gear-head this was total heaven for me. |

Not quite a rumor, since it came from Ashely Capps himself but RDK flagged him down at FC and he said, even though he's been trying, no Portishead and lineup drop in 2-3 weeks.

Also, to tag onto what Abra said, he said the reason behind the 2-3 weeks is they are trying to sign everyone before the line-up drop, so that the line-up we get then will be the full line-up. No additions. Whether this turns out to be what happens will remain to be seen.

I really think that if Portishead were to play Moog, last year would have been the best opportunity. I think we all thought that was a lock, esp. after they announced Beak>. Portishead will forever be Moogfest's Pearl Jam. Always wanted and always disappointing. |

I really think that if Portishead were to play Moog, last year would have been the best opportunity. I think we all thought that was a lock, esp. after they announced Beak>. Portishead will forever be Moogfest's Pearl Jam. Always wanted and always disappointing. He said the reason she gave for not doing Moog last year was she just had a baby and didn't want to travel all the way to Asheville. What he really needs to do is make a grand nursing room and offer her a set that has a break in the middle somehow (special guest or something of the sort) so she can work and take care of her baby. |

When The XX played Bonnaroo, didn't they fly back to play somewhere in Europe the same weekend?
