So, the site says that all sites regularly serving would be serving for Moogfest.
Great! Except I dunno who regularly serves what? Been to Thomas Wolfe and Orange Peel before, but not the other venues. Any vets willing to offer up a quick rundown of which venues sell alcohol, and (very generally) what they offer?

Orange Peel is a beer and wine place per their website. They only serve liquor in PULP, their downstairs bar. I am not sure on if it is accessible during Moogfest. Asheville Music Hall is more of a full bar. ashevillemusichall.com/spirits/ for their drink specials. I didn't go to DWT last year, and I am seeing conflicting infomation on the internet, so I can't give you a solid answer on that one.

I can't imagine DWT sells drinks. Maybe i just missed that though.
Orange Peel has relatively cheap (aka for a music venue) good beer, so there's that.
In the Arena/TWA you have to pay for a wristband to be able to drink, which really erks me, but hey. It's beer and liquor if I remember correctly, fairly good beer selection, 4 or 5 good choices. Closer to standard festival prices though.

The wristband irked me too, but it was only.. what? 5 bucks. Easy to get over. I never went to DWT last year. I found that I drank so much during the day, I only needed a few drinks to keep me going through out the night You can also stop off for a shot at a bar between venues.

I plan on doing most of my drinking earlier in the day as well... I've gotten to the point where I seldom drink actually during concerts, over the last few years.

I'll be doing my usual, for staying up for this type of thing... carrying around packages of powdered energy drink mixers. Eat it like a Pixie Stick, bit by bit.

You guys just gotta train for it Any party in Nashville is good training for drinking all day at festivals. The key seems to be lots of drinks followed by good food and friends.

They work? I'm usually dead to the world by midnight on any given day. Especially on days that involve drinking since noon and beaucoup de dancing.

I find it to work... I'm usually using something like Crystal Lite's energy mixes or another generic brand. I think a packet of something like that has around 60-80 mg caffeine per packet, meant to go into a 16 oz bottle of water. If you do eat it like a Pixie Stick, you have to keep in mind that it's great concentration of caffeine and other flavorings into that little bit of powder... tastes ridiculously strong and sour/sweet, and you're getting in more caffeine quicker with the powder than you would by drinking it mixed with water. It's not the most dangerous thing that's liable to be happening during this deal, but I still don't recommended it to just anyone, especially if you're particularly of low tolerance to caffeine.

Haha, not your teeth, but definitely your hand if you're messy with it.

Any word on if there will be a Asheville Brewing Co. Moog Filtered Ale this year? There is no mention of it on the "Beer Garden" page or anywhere else.
