Now that Moogfest has clarified and re-clarified it's position on where the festival is headed in the coming weeks it seems apparent that we are getting some more acts on the line-up. I expect these to be smaller acts and am hoping for a few.
Thoughts on who we might see added in, "the coming weeks"?

I have no idea who would be likely, but I would love to see an older artist or band that would be this year's version of Suicide, Tangerine Dream, or Terry Riley.
John Foxx has a recent album; he'd be great! Get the remaining members of Can together to perform in celebration of their release of "The Lost Tapes!"

I think you're spot on about that, Mensch.
With day tickets already being sold, it wouldn't make any sense to add a "Big" name. I'm thinking smaller. I just don't wanna get my hopes up.

I could see them adding 1 or 2 mid-tier bands, but nothing above that for sure. Realistically, I'd love to see Amon Tobin: ISAM 2.0, The War on Drugs, Das Racist, Portuga. the Man, James Blacke, Fly Golden Eagle, Gang Gang Dance, or Moon Taxi. Unrealistically, I'm hoping for Animal Collective.

I'm leaning more towards a mid-level classic/legend act, as for what I hope for... but, I'm just going to expect the typical indie synth-pop stuff, that will certainly be crowd pleasing.

I haven't looked at tour dates or prior bookings but I would like to see New Look and Chromatics get added

More good news! We're thrilled to add the exquisite Diana Wortham Theatre as another official Moogfest venue. The theater will host some of our most contemplative and edgy festival performances. Additional info coming soon!

We may need to start a venue thread.

Hey, with the luck we're having here... more groups, another venue... maybe if we wait long enough, they'll throw in an extra day

Very few acts played the theatre last year. So I don't think this confirms were getting a ton of additions. But the more the merrier!

Really hoping for a Die Antwoord addition, these guys would be crazy at Moogfest, plus their schedule puts them Southeast as of the 23rd of October which bodes well logistically! I'M A NINJA!! YOLANDY VISSUR, OI!

I saw Die Antwoord a couple of months ago. While they weren't nearly as weird live, as they are in their videos, the energy they brought to the venue was remarkable. And this is coming from a guy who generally hates all hip hop-related music.

To be fair, their live show is based much more on your standard EDM than being based on hip hop.
Think Major Lazer.

Chilly Gonzales would be perfect in the Diana Wortham. Just sayin'.

Very few acts played the theatre last year. So I don't think this confirms were getting a ton of additions. But the more the merrier! It was 8, if I'm thinking right. I'm sure we have several on the lineup already, as well. Another venue would mean that we may get a handful of artists today. Smaller, I'm sure.

Tweet from @moogfest yesterday "Hey Moogers, be on the lookout for lineup additions tomorrow afternoon. Stay tuned and we'll see you then!" So that means we should be getting additions right about .... wait for it.... NOW

FANTASTIC additions!
"Ladies and gentlemen, your line up additions! First up is hip hop icon NAS, performing with his Moog-ed out nine-piece band. Moogfest alums Tim Hecker and Daniel Lopatin (aka Oneohtrix Point Never) join us for their debut U.S. collaborative performance. New York’s Buke and Gase will bring their art-rock wild thing while representing Asheville are garage proggers Ahleuchatistas. Finally, electronic music pioneer Morton Subotnick presents “From Silver Apples to a Sky of Cloudless Sulfur.” A hearty welcome to all and get ready to be blown away!"

Just announced, Nas will be performing!! Kickass. Also, Morton Subotnik will be performing silver apples, very influential and ground breaking "artist" as far as electro-acoustic music composition is concerned. Also very strange, more experimental than cohesive but still very cool, he was a forerunner along with Bob! This is rad.

I'm pretty stoked on these additions. That's what the needed, honestly. Another big name to make people feel like they are getting moneys worth. Nas will fill that slot well, I think.
I'm more excited about the Hecker/Lopatin show. Very few collaborations get me this giddy.

Druid,
each of their last solo efforts would give you a good idea of what you'd be hearing.
Tim Hecker: Ravedeath 1972
Oneohtrix Point Never (Daniel Lopatin): Replica
