Any Top 10 without Orbital and Squarepusher in the Top 3 is doing it wrong. Very wrong.

I will get in on this as soon as I listen to a little more of the line-up. I can go with Phil on Orbital being in the top 3. Not as sure about Squarepusher though.

Yeah this will likely be a list in flux as I start listening to more of the acts I do not know. As it stands, in no particular order,...
Orbital Squarepusher Explosions Richie Hawtin Four Tet Black Moth Super Rainbow Pantha Du Prince Bear In Heaven El-P Carl Craig
Friday is going to be heartbreaking with conflicts based on who I want to see

Although I could easily swap out GZA for Orbital, EITS, or Black Moth Super Rainbow.

Considering I'm only doing Friday, I'll limit myself to top 5:
1. Squarepusher 2. Richie Hawtin 3. Explosions In The Sky 4. Pantha Du Prince 5. toss up between Cold Cave, El-P, and Primus
Conflicts are going to blow, aren't they? I can honestly say that I'm interested in seeing at least 3/4 of Friday's lineup.

Looks like several Moogfest artists are coming to MN in the next few months: Exitmusic, Magnetic Fields, Ana Sia, Miike Snow, and Shplongle... I'm not changing my list right now, but it's kinda nice to know that I have a little wiggle room on some conflicts.

Updated 1. Squarepusher 2. Pantha Du Prince 3. Richie Hawtin 4. Explosions In The Sky 5. Primus 6. El-P 7. Killer Mike 8. Cold Cave 9. Bear In Heaven 10. Blondes I'm not making this any easier for myself. Updated again, no less excited for any acts, but more so for many... making this much harder on myself down the line. 1. Squarepusher (the album he's covering on this tour is far from his best, but it's still more than enjoyable to me. Many disliked Just A Souvenir, but I loved it's cheesy playfulness and it's rare forays into his trademark wanky jazz-fusion... This one feels less original than anything I've heard from him, but I still thoroughly enjoy it. Plus, the show ending bass jam has me in excruciating anticipation. By far, my number one favorite act on the lineup, no doubt influencing my priority to see his set.) 2. Pantha Du Prince (even though only vaguely familiar before this lineup drop, I was always definitely digging what I had heard. Now, digging deeper, this guy is an absolute must see... so many elements to his music as a whole that I really appreciate. Great stuff, can't miss.) 3. Morton Subotnick (this is the kind of act that got my attention from Moogfest lineups in years past, and with this one especially being in a more experimental vein and less conventional,I'm thoroughly pleased with this addition. I'm a sucker for this type of thing, so there.) 4. Primus (not a humongous fan, but this should be a lot of fun... I have always said that if they played a fest I was at, I would go. Well, here we are and I expect something really odd from this 3D show. Plus, the guys are a bunch of instrumental show offs, so that will be fun for me.) 5. El-P (from the solo stuff I missed out on over the last few years, to his production work on the new Killer Mike album... this is something I have wanted to see for a good while now, and I dig almost every single thing I hear from him. Definitely psyched about this.) 6. Richie Hawtin (simply put, I feel entitled to check him out because I absolutely love some of the Plastikman output. And, from what I have heard, his live sets sound like lots of fun.) 7. Explosions In The Sky (again, another one I've wanted to see for some years now, I really dig the music, the style and so on... but if something else is playing, I have a feeling I'd be more likely to see these guys again just by chance than the rest of Friday's lineup.) 8. Killer Mike (intentionally low ranked, because I really don't expect to be able to see this... however, Killer Mike has made a fan out of me over the last few weeks with his new album. I'd love to see him) 9. Blondes (extremely cool, right up my alley, kind of retro sounding house that reminds me of early 808 State... again, I would love to be able to see these guys, but am not counting on it.) 10. Cold Cave (it would likely be the most poppy sounding thing I would see all day, but I really do dig some of what I hear from them. I imagine a live show could be lots of fun.)

I'm only allowed to revise this list one more time, or you can hit me with bamboo sticks..
1. Nas 2. Prefuse 73 & Teebs 3. Explosions in the Sky 4. Black Moth Super Rainbow 5. Killer Mike 6. Orbital 7. Santigold 8. GZA 9. Pantha Du Prince 10. Mouse on Mars
This is killing me though b/c it could easily be 15.. Ann Sia, Carl Craig and Buke & Gase keep having me questioning my own list...
