Y'all, can I brag for a moment? I am seeing Beach House, Washed Out, Passion Pit and Grizzly Bear in a four-day, back-to-back run in September. Life is good!

Sept & Oct are going to be two of the best months of live shows that I can ever remember having. I've got tickets for Moogfest, Adam Ant, Jandek, Swans, Grizzly Bear, Amon Tobin, Public Image, Ltd., Mission of Burma, Robyn Hitchcock, Dinosaur Jr., Dirty Three, Beach House, and *cough* Olivia Newton-John.

I was 6 when Grease came out... the soundtrack to the film was one of my first albums, and I listened to it daily. A year later, Xanadu was released... Left enough of an impact on me that when I heard she was coming to town (and I've never seen her before), I decided to entertain an old, guilty pleasure, and go! |

I had to take my girlfriend to a Jason Mraz show the other day, I counted 56 fidoras and 12 half off your head beanies by the end of the night. I wonder what the fidora ratio will be comparitivley between Moogfest and a Jason Mraz concert...
