In any case, I'm starting to be pretty happy about my decision to buy VIP. I would have been pretty annoyed if I left one show early only to find that there is a long line or terrible sight lines.

Although I don't know what the Hecker/Lopatin set will be like, Oneohtrix Point Never (Lopatin) played in my town last weekend and it was godawful. I remember in an interview I saw a while back he said he hates playing live sets, and it definitely shows.
Food for thought.

I mean, I still think the dude is a great musician and I'll buy his records till the day he dies, but the live is experience is VERY different. The set was a really exhausting musique concrete sample collage. It lacked dynamics, ebb and flow, atmosphere... basically all the things that make Oneohtrix records great. And visually, it was just him poking buttons on a laptop with video behind him that looked like a 3D graphics card demo. Disappointing all around.
