I did a powerpoint on Bicycle Thief for a college humanities class. Really good film, I still have it in high def. Now that you mention it, I want to watch it again.
I honestly haven't seen it. I saw La Strada several years ago but Umberto D has escaped me. Do I need to check that out?
I would. It's also done by De Sica so it's quite similar to Bicycle Thieves in a of of regards. Very basic story of an old man and his dog but so well done.
